MySentinel Talk to us

The product, in detail

Four flows. One thoughtful platform.

MySentinel splits the day into the four people involved — officer at the gate, admin in the office, guardian on their phone, operator behind the scenes — and designs each screen for how that person actually works.

Gate

Officer flow

Tap a wristband or badge to record a drop-off, pick-up, or handover. The Officer screen is the most-used surface on the platform — calm, large tap targets, and an offline outbox for when connectivity drops.

  • 44-pixel touch targets across the entire UI.
  • Offline outbox syncs automatically when the device returns online.
  • Per-school branding so officers see their own school identity.
  • Three South African languages — English, Afrikaans, isiZulu.

Office

Admin workbench

Compact, dense screens for daily school operations. The workbench was designed for the realities of South African school administration — small teams, high stakes, limited time.

  • Movement history with filtering by class, guardian, or date range.
  • Bulk student import with operator-validated CSV runs.
  • Incident notes and delivery evidence attached to records.
  • Exception workflows for handovers that need a second pair of eyes.

Guardian

Communication

Notifications go out when meaningful events happen — not on every keystroke. Guardians receive school-managed updates with a consistent voice and language.

  • Per-guardian opt-in to channels (SMS / WhatsApp / email).
  • Per-school templating respects the school's tone of voice.
  • Delivery receipts so admin can verify guardian was reached.

Platform

Operator oversight

Behind every school is a platform operator. MySentinel ships with operator screens for health, audit, and dead-letter inspection so support can resolve issues without backend access.

  • Live health dashboard across all schools.
  • Audit log with role-based filters.
  • Dead-letter queue replay UI for failed sync events.
